Tucka - "Make Me Wanna Do Wrong"

I just feel like dancing whenever I hear this and I like Tucka's singing style - it has a cool Louisiana vibe.

I know that look on your face!  That look that mean you want to do harm!  It also makes me wanna do wrong.

I don't know what you came to do but I came to make you mine!
You have to see it from my point of view and then you will know I'm not lying.

Come out leaning like a rollercoaster!! lol

Cathe's All Blues Saturday Countdown on WDLT December 22, 2018

It's Christmas!!!  Can you believe it?  Do you have all of your shopping finished?  I'm done!!  I usually start planning for Christmas around Halloween and try to get most of my gifts when the sales start, especially close to Thanksgiving.  Then, I just have to remember where I put everything. lol This is such a special time of the year and, if you get a chance, give something to someone who may not have as much as you.  I've found that you don't have to spend a lot of money to make someone happy.  And if you have to spend a lot to make someone happy, you may want to rethink that relationship. lol I'm serious.

As beautiful as this time is, Christmas can be really hard for those who have recently lost a loved one. I lost my big sister at the end of October and I'm struggling this season.  I'm thankful I have plenty of support.

One thing I love about this time of year is that everything is so festive! The decorations, bright and colorful lights, carols, Christmas programs, etc., help the mood and definitely enhance the spirit of the season.  I thank God for sending us His son, this earth is forever changed because of his birth.  Happy birthday Jesus!!

Merry Christmas to all of you!!  Peace and blessings!!

Rhomey - "Head Bad"

The party don't start until you get your head bad. I guess Rhomey's saying that when you're stepping out, you've got to stop by the liquor store so you can have a good time at the party! Whatever the message, "Head Bad' is getting good air play in south central Alabama!

I found the following bio info on Rhomey from Louisiana's Winn Parish Enterprise news:
https://www.winnparishenterprise.com/articles/2018/10/17/local-artist-releases-new-album-southern-soul
Nakia “Rhomey” Rhone Sr. is a local Southern Soul singer, right here in the city of Winnfield. He was born in Jonesboro, Louisiana.

He is the son of Doris Smith and Edward Rhone Sr. He has eight brothers and one sister. He was raised in Winnfield, where he graduated from Winnfield Senior High School in 1995. He began singing at the age of sixteen in his local church choir, which is Mt. Olive Baptist Church. After much appreciation shown for his singing from friends and family, he began competing in local talent shows.

Avail Hollywood - "Drinking Again"

I've been hearing this a lot on the radio station in Montgomery, Alabama - WZKD (formerly WXKN).  It's hard to believe that it was released way back in 2011.

In "Drinking Again," Avail calls his girl to tell her that he's sorry. He's been going to the bar getting messed up since he lost his baby and he misses her so much that he's started drinking again. Hey, I can understand how that happens.  Lost love can hurt so much that you do anything to take the pain away!

King Floyd - "What Our Love Needs"

How many of you played the flip side of King Floyd's "Groove Me" to hear "What Our Love Needs??"  I love it, love it, love it!!  I adore these lyrics.  Songs like this make you believe in romance and love!

When I was young, we played both sides of all of our 45s.  Our albums, too!  We would also put a stack of 45s on the turntable and when they were done, we'd flip the entire stack over.  Ah yes, the good old days!!

Listen girl, you say you want me, you know I want you
So here's all we got to do
Just give our love more affection
And baby we'll have that protection
From loneliness
And then tenderness, we'll possess

He also began to become interested in performing poetry and acting in stage plays. Throughout middle school he won various awards and prizes for his talents. And even started a career in school politics where he won elections for student council Chaplain and Vice Presidency. Adrian Bagher - "Willing & Able"

Young southern soul keeping the music alive with a great message!

Adrian says that his mother gave him some great advice and told him that if he has a girl that ain't willing, then be a man that's able to fold his own clothes and put a meal on the table.  She said not to be nobody's fool because she didn't raise him like that, stand tall, he can't go wrong like that.  Amen!!  If he has to cook and clean himself and the girl is no help, then he shouldn't be dealing! So true, so true!!!  Mothers, teach your sons and your daughters!!

Good looks only take you so far!

Ms. Jody - "Ms. Jody's Got a Man"

Ms. Jody says she's got a man! This guy sounds like the man you want in your life, the kind you want to hold on to forever. She said that every woman should have a man like hers. I know that's right! He makes her life complete and brings out all the woman in a woman like her. He's not a deadbeat father, makes her laugh, and treats her real good.  Ladies, if you've got a man like Ms. Jody's, you better hold on to him as tightly as you can!!

Ms. Jody's Got A Man is taken from her recently released "I'm Doin My Thang" CD.

My man is good to me!
