Marvin Sease - "I'm Still Waiting On You"

Marvin Sease is one of the reasons I LOVE southern soul.  Yeah, I know Candy Licker and all of those x-rated songs (lol) but Marvin made some awesome music. This is one of his great songs that you may not hear a lot.  In "I'm Still Waiting On You," he talks about the possibility of losing the love of his life and how it's destroying him. He lets her know that he messed up but he begs her to come back home.  My heart melts every time he says I miss you like crazy.

I had to take the time to listen (and listen) to this song and wrote down the words:

You’ve been gone away much too long
And it’s time for you to come home
I can’t sleep at night no more
And I still can’t eat a bite
I just toss and I turn
Waiting on the door or the telephone to ring
Baby you don’t know
What this is doing to me
Every morning noon and night
I need you in my life

Chorus
Come on baby
I’m still waiting on you to come on home
Cause I miss you baby
I’m still waiting on you to come on home

Listen, last night I heard a noise
So I got up and I went outside
It was the neighbors coming home
They were hugged up, just walking along
I stood there and watched for awhile
And then I turned around
And I started to cry

Baby I know I was wrong
I made you say so long
I’m begging you with all my heart girl
To give me one more chance

Chorus

I miss you like crazy, come on home
I miss you
I’m still waiting on you to come on home
I miss you like crazy, I said I miss you like crazy
Come on home
You know what, I miss you
I’m still waiting on you to come on home
Because I miss you woman
I miss you like crazy…
