Albert King - "I'll Play The Blues For You"

This is the blues and Albert King sure knows how to play a guitar!!  Lewis Dee, one of the best dee jays I know who also happens to play southern soul, opens every program of his with "I'll Play The Blues For You."

I was fortunate to meet Lewis Dee the last time I was in Montgomery and he's a genuinely nice man with an awesome voice.  He has such a great personality and he makes you feel like you're part of the family.  You can find him from 6:00 - 9:00 a.m. (CST) on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays and now every Saturday afternoon on WKXN of Montgomery, Alabama. If you're listening on line it's www.thebigstation.fm and if you're listening via radio, it's 96.7/102.7/95.7 FM.   This is a pretty cool Albert King song.

If you're down and out, and you feel real hurt
Come on over to the place where I work
All your loneliness, I'll try to soothe
I'll play the blues for you

Don't be afraid, come on in
You might run across, yeah, some of your old friends
And all your loneliness, I'll try to soothe
I'll play the blues for you

Come on in, sit right here
And let's rap awhile
You see I'm kinda lonely too
Loneliness is a very bad thing
And loneliness can get you down
Are you comfortable
I said loneliness can get you down
And I have heard of loneliness
Blowin' some very fine people's minds
But you can't do that
This is a big big world
It’s a lots of beautiful things going on in this world
You just got to hang in there and be tough
You're a very pretty girl
Where do you live
No, no, disregard that
The most important thing
I wanna know you
I say, I wanna know you
I'll play the blues for you

I ain't got no big name
Oh Lord, an' I ain't no big star
I'll play the blues for you, on my guitar
All your loneliness, I'll try to soothe
I'll play the blues for you

Good, good music!
