Seventeen Days of Loving

I think I'm a hopeless romantic and I love a good love song. You've got to checkout Carl Sims "Seventeen Days of Loving." It's the kind of song that grows on you and you realize how awesome it really is. Did you know that Carl Sims was a singer for the original Bar-Kays and played in the opening act for Otis Redding? Carl took a commercial flight on the fateful day of that private plane crash that killed Otis Redding and most of the Bar-Kays in 1967. Amazing!
Seventeen Days of Loving is beautiful. It was originally recorded in 1995 and an enhanced version was done in 2001. Carl says:

Sitting in my room
In the shadows of love
I can’t close my eyes, I need your love
I can’t understand it
I don’t know what it is
It’s something about you girl that I wanna feel
I need 17 days of loving you
Girl, I can’t go to sleep
24 hours I love you
Now bring it on home to me

If I have the words wrong, please let me know. This is how my ears hear it and it's how I sing it (very loudly I might add)!
I know you know what to do with it.... Oh man, listen to Carl! Another case of Southern Soul Paradise!
